Can I clean these bamboo cutting boards in the dishwasher?

Bamboo and the dishwasher are not a good combination. The intense heat and prolonged exposure to water in a dishwasher damages bamboo: it can crack, shrink or lose its shape. Keep the boards in top condition like this: • Wipe them with a damp cloth or rinse them briefly under lukewarm running water. • Dry them immediately and thoroughly — do not let them soak in water. • Want extra protection for the bamboo? Treat the boards occasionally with a neutral food-grade oil, such as sunflower or olive oil. With this simple care the boards will last for years.

What sizes are included in the set and what are they best used for?

The set consists of 5 cutting boards in different sizes, so you have the right size for every task. Think of: • Small boards – handy for fruit, herbs or a quick piece of cheese. • Medium boards – ideal for vegetables and bread. • Large board – perfect for meat or larger cutting jobs.
