PFAS-free ceramic coating: cook with peace of mind
Forget burnt sauces and unevenly heated pans: with the GreenPan Barcelona Pro Black Saucepan ø 18 cm, you can prepare delicious meals every day, hassle-free and without worrying about harmful substances. This is the saucepan your kitchen deserves - and so do you.
Why this saucepan is a smart choice
A good saucepan is the silent workhorse of your kitchen. From a velvety beurre blanc to a quick tomato sauce or a pot of perfectly cooked rice: the Barcelona Pro does it all. With a capacity of 2.1 litres and a diameter of 18 cm, you have just the right size for everyday use - large enough for two persons, compact enough to keep everything in view.
- PFAS-free ceramic non-stick coating - Cook with peace of mind. No PFAS, no PFOA, no hassle - just a smooth, safe surface where everything releases effortlessly.
- Diamond-reinforced coating - The layer is reinforced with diamond particles for extra durability. This is not a disposable pan; this is a pan to enjoy for years to come.
- BalancePro base - Stays perfectly flat when heated. Oil or butter spreads evenly, so you need less and your sauce simmers evenly.
- Glass lid included - You don't need to lift the lid to see how your dish is doing. Just look, enjoy, and intervene in time.
- Suitable for all heat sources - Gas, induction, electric, halogen or ceramic - and even oven-safe up to 220°C. This pan fits any kitchen.
- Lifetime warranty on material and manufacturing - Plus 5 years warranty on the non-stick coating. GreenPan stands behind this pan, and that feels good.
The ceramic layer: cooking without compromise
The Thermolon Minerals Pro coating from GreenPan is not just any non-stick coating. It is ceramic by nature, reinforced with diamond particles for extra strength, and - most importantly - completely free from PFAS and other harmful substances. This means you can add a knob of butter to the pan, sauté your onion, or reduce your sauce without anything sticking or wondering what is actually in your food.
The coating works best when treated with care. If you use a wooden or silicone spoon, the surface remains nice and smooth, and you will enjoy it for years. Cooking is also about taking care of your tools - and this tool takes care of you just as well.
💡 Cookinglife Tip: Always stir sauces with a wooden or silicone spatula or whisk. Metal utensils scratch the ceramic layer and shorten the lifespan of your coating. A small effort, big difference.
BalancePro base: the secret of a fair pan
Do you know that annoying moment when oil pools to one side because your pan is slightly warped? That is a thing of the past with the BalancePro base. GreenPan has developed the base of the Barcelona Pro to stay flat even at high temperatures. That sounds technical, but the practice is simple: oil and butter spread evenly, your dish cooks evenly, and you need less fat to achieve the same result.
The cast stainless steel handle fits securely in hand and gives the pan a chic, sleek appearance that suits any modern kitchen. The deep black design with glossy details - the Barcelona Pro is a pan you can proudly leave on the countertop.
From stove to oven: one pan, many possibilities
The Barcelona Pro is compatible with all heat sources - gas, electric, halogen, ceramic, and induction. But it doesn't stop there. Thanks to its oven-safe feature up to 220°C, you can also finish your dish in the oven. Start your sauce on the gas and then warm your dish through in the oven? No problem. One pan, no hassle, everything ready on time.
Cleaning is also easy: the pan is dishwasher safe, although GreenPan recommends hand washing to maximise the lifespan of the coating. Just rinse with warm water and a soft sponge - you're done. More time for the best part: enjoying what you've made.
