FAQ

Is this colander suitable for the dishwasher?

Stainless steel is one of the most low-maintenance materials you can have in the kitchen. In general stainless steel is dishwasher-safe, but to be on the safe side we recommend washing the colander by hand with warm water and a mild dish detergent. That way you preserve the shine and the colander will last the longest.

For how many people is this colander suitable?

With a diameter of 24 cm this colander is roomy enough for a generous portion of pasta or potatoes. Count on convenience for 3 to 5 people — ideal for a family meal or a dinner with friends. It’s also well suited for everyday use in a busy kitchen.

How should I store this colander?

Stainless steel requires little maintenance, but a few tips will help you enjoy it even longer: • Dry the colander thoroughly after washing — this prevents limescale spots. • Store it in a dry place, away from abrasive materials that could scratch the stainless steel. • Avoid prolonged contact with salt water or acidic liquids when not in use. Stainless steel is naturally rust-resistant, but careful drying after use keeps the material in optimal condition.

Can I also use this colander to wash vegetables or fruit?

Yes, absolutely. The colander is not only intended for draining pasta or potatoes, but is also perfectly suitable for washing vegetables and fruit. The stainless steel construction is sturdy enough for daily use and the perforated design allows water to drain away while keeping your ingredients in the colander.

Does this colander have handles or a base to stand stably?

The Cosy & Trendy colander is made of stainless steel with a diameter of 24 cm. For specific details about the exact shape of the handles or any base, it’s best to consult the product images on the page — they give you the most accurate view of the design.
