FAQ
Are these placemats heat-resistant, for example from hot pans or plates?
These placemats are made of high-quality faux leather and intended as a stylish table mat. They protect your table well against stains, scratches and rings. Avoid direct contact with very hot pans or oven dishes — faux leather is sensitive to heat and can be damaged by intense heat. Use a separate trivet for hot pans.
How do I best clean these placemats?
Cleaning is quick and hassle-free. Here's what works: • Wipe stains and dirt immediately with a lightly damp cloth. • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture — the material is sensitive to water. • The placemats are not suitable for the dishwasher. • For first use, also wipe once with a lightly damp cloth to remove any dust. This helps the leather-look finish stay looking good for longer.
How should I store these placemats when I'm not using them?
Proper storage significantly extends the life of your placemats. Follow these tips: • Store the placemats flat so they don't warp or crease. • Avoid placing sharp objects on them — these can damage the faux leather. • Keep them dry and away from prolonged moisture. The placemats are rectangular (46 x 33 cm) and stack neatly, making compact storage easy.
Can I use the placemats for decorative purposes, apart from setting the table?
Certainly. Thanks to the stylish black leather-look, these placemats are also excellent to use as a base for decorative bowls, candles or other accessories. Because they are double-sided, you can also flip them for more variety. They measure 46 x 33 cm, which provides enough space for attractive styling on a sideboard or dining table.
Do six placemats fit a standard dining table for six people?
Each placemat measures 46 x 33 cm, which is a generous size that fits most standard place settings. The set contains exactly 6 placemats, which is ideal for a dining table for six people. If you have a larger table or often host more guests, you can combine multiple sets.
