Why this deep frying pot deserves a permanent place in your kitchen
The BK Fortalit series is no newcomer - this is the icon of Dutch cuisine. Enamelled steel that lasts for generations, distributes heat like a professional, and looks stylish in matte black. Whether you're frying doughnuts for the whole family on New Year's Eve or quickly frying some bitterballen during the week - this pan is ready for it. Every single time.
- Fortalit enamel - incredibly strong and durable - Enamelled steel that withstands daily use and retains its quality for years
- With frying basket - safely out of the fat - Lift chips, doughnuts, or croquettes in one smooth motion, without spills or burns
- 3-litre capacity - room for a full portion - Enough volume to fry a large batch without multiple rounds
- All heat sources - always usable - Gas, electric, halogen, ceramic, and induction: this pan fits on any stove
- PFAS-free and hygienic - The smooth enamel meets the highest standards for food safety and does not absorb odours or fat
- Dishwasher safe - quick clean-up - After frying, the pan simply goes in the dishwasher. Done.
Fortalit Enamel - made for cooking, not for show
There are pans that look good in the shop and pans that last year after year in the kitchen. The BK Fortalit belongs to the latter category - for decades. The enamelled steel conducts heat exceptionally well, meaning your oil heats up faster and you use less energy. You notice this not only in your cooking results but also in your energy consumption.
The smooth interior of the enamel is not only hygienic but also practical: fat does not stick to the surface and odours do not penetrate. Just wash it - or put it in the dishwasher - and your pan is clean and ready to go. No lingering smell from the last frying session, no burnt residues that you have to scrub off. Just clean, just ready for next time.
And that black? It's not just any colour. Matte, powerful, and timeless - you can simply place such a pan on the table when serving doughnuts. The pan does its job, and it looks good while doing it.
Frying on the stove - here's how to do it right
With the included frying basket, you get the most out of your Fortalit deep frying pot. The basket allows you to lower it into the hot fat and safely lift your fried dish out without drips. No splashes, no burns. Just controlled frying, exactly as it should be.
The pan has a capacity of 3 litres - spacious enough for a generous portion of doughnuts, a batch of croquettes, or a large serving of chips. The lid is included, so you can safely cover the fat after use. The total height of 190 mm and a diameter of 240 mm make the pan compact enough for daily use, yet spacious enough to really cook something.
💡 Cookinglife Tip: Use a cooking thermometer to check the oil temperature. For doughnuts, ideally between 175 and 180 °C, for chips around 180 °C. This prevents greasy, soggy results and gives you that crispy, golden-brown exterior everyone wants. Let the basket drain above the pan before serving - this keeps your tablecloth dry and your plate appetising.

This is a pan you buy, use, and never replace.
