Schott Zwiesel Cognac Glasses Bar Special - XXL - 774 ml - 4 pieces
Classic Tritan crystal glass, sturdy and stable like in a bar
Ideal for your cognac, Armagnac and brandy
After the drinks, simply put them in the dishwasher
You pour a fine Armagnac. The cork comes off, the aroma rises - and then you take a glass that truly does justice to that experience. That's exactly what the Schott Zwiesel Cognac Glasses Bar Special - XXL do for you. No compromises, no wobbly glasses from the budget section. Just: bar-quality at your table, every time.
Why this glass makes a difference
A cognac glass is not just any drinking glass with a round belly. The shape is everything. The wide bowl captures the aromas of your cognac, Armagnac, or brandy - while your hand warmth slowly brings the drink to the right temperature. That's not marketing talk; that's chemistry in your hand. The Bar Special from Schott Zwiesel is designed just that way: the rounded bowl sits comfortably in the palm, the warmth does its work, and you enjoy what the glass offers you.
- Rounded bowl, full experience - The round shape retains aromas and releases them step by step as you enjoy slowly.
- 774 ml capacity - Generously sized, allowing the glass to breathe - even if you pour just a modest measure.
- Stable and sturdy - The base stands solidly, the glass feels substantial. No dancing on the table.
- Set of 4 - Perfect for an evening with friends, or simply because you're never satisfied with just one glass.
- Dishwasher safe - After the drinks, you don't have to wash the glassware by hand. Just pop it in the dishwasher, done.
Tritan crystal glass: strong, clear, and long-lasting
Schott Zwiesel uses their own Tritan crystal glass for the Bar Special series - a lead-free material that is brilliantly clear, more scratch-resistant than regular glass, and remarkably strong. Anyone who has ever seen a regular crystal glass break too soon knows how frustrating that is. Tritan is different: the glass holds up, even after hundreds of washes. The clarity remains, the shine remains, the sharpness of the rim remains. That's the kind of quality that proves itself in practice - not just at the time of purchase.
The glasses are machine-made in Germany, where Schott Zwiesel has been producing glassware for the most demanding bars and restaurants in the world for generations. When professional bartenders worldwide trust this series, you know you have something good in your hands.
Bar Special: the collection that feels at home in any bar
The Bar Special series - formerly known as Classico - is not just any random glass set. It's a collection designed for serious glassware: cocktails, aperitifs, digestifs. Bartenders work with it because the glasses are functional, look stylish, and stand the test of time. At home, it's no different. Whether you're pouring a cognac after a good dinner, grabbing a brandy after the cheese board, or simply enjoying a quieter moment - this glass sets that moment as it deserves.
And that's exactly what Cookinglife means by smart buying: not the cheapest glass, but the glass you'll enjoy for years. One that works, looks beautiful, and pays for itself every time.
The right glass for cognac, Armagnac, and brandy
Schott Zwiesel specifically recommends this glass for cognac, Armagnac, and brandy - and that's no coincidence. The rounded bowl combines ideally with spirits that carry a lot of aromas. You hold the foot, your hand warms the bowl, the scents rise. You take your time. You truly taste. That's how a good digestif works - and this glass makes it a ritual rather than just a sip.
💡 Cookinglife Tip: Don't pour too full - a third of the glass is enough. This way, the cognac has room to breathe and the bowl gives the aromas a chance to unfold. Warm the glass with your hands before pouring, and you'll taste the difference immediately.
