FAQ

Can I wash this presentation board in the dishwasher?

No, the Cosy & Trendy presentatieblad made of acacia wood is not dishwasher-safe. The heat and water in a dishwasher damage the wood and shorten the life of the board. Instead, clean the board with: • Warm water • A soft cloth • A mild detergent Dry the board immediately after cleaning and never soak it in water.

Should I treat the board before using it?

Yes, that’s a good idea. Rub the presentation board with vegetable oil before first use. This protects the wood and helps it last longer. This is a standard care step for wooden serving boards and acacia wood in particular: the wood absorbs the oil and stays supple and strong.

How do I care for the acacia wood board to keep it in good condition?

Good care is simple and takes little time. Follow these basic rules: • Rub with vegetable oil before first use • Clean with warm water, a cloth and a mild detergent • Dry immediately after cleaning — never leave it wet • Never soak in water With this care the wood retains its strength and appearance.

Is this board also suitable as a cutting board or for hot dishes?

The Cosy & Trendy Senegal-blad is designed as a presentation board and serving tray — ideal for serving snacks and drinks. It is not specifically designated as a cutting board or as a heat-resistant trivet for hot pans or dishes. The board measures 29 x 18 cm and is intended for use on the table as a serving piece.

Does this presentation board fit in a standard kitchen cabinet or drawer?

The board measures 29 x 18 cm, which is a compact and handy size. It will fit in most standard kitchen drawers or cabinets and is easy to store when not in use. It is a rectangular board, so take both dimensions (length and width) into account when planning storage space.
