What can you do with an OmniCooker from Greenpan

The Omnicooker from GreenPan is a versatile kitchen appliance that allows you to perform a wide range of culinary tasks.

What is an Omnicooker from GreenPan

An Omnicooker is a multi-functional kitchen appliance that combines different types of cooking techniques and functions in one appliance. It is designed to reduce the need for multiple separate kitchen appliances, saving space in the kitchen and making the cooking process more efficient. An Omnicooker can typically perform functions such as slow cooking, steaming, baking, roasting, sautéing, grilling, rice cooking, sous-vide cooking, yogurt making and sometimes even deep frying.

These appliances are especially popular with people who enjoy cooking and experimenting with different cooking techniques, but do not have the space or budget for a large number of specialized appliances. They are also ideal for people who want to minimize their time in the kitchen without sacrificing the quality and diversity of their meals. The versatility and ease of use make an Omnicooker a convenient addition to almost any kitchen.

What can you do with an Omnicooker from GreenPan

Slow Cooking: Perfect for stews, soups and sauces, where ingredients are cooked at a low temperature for a longer period of time to deepen the flavors.
Steam: Healthy method of preparation where vegetables, fish and chicken retain their nutrients. Ideal for light and nutritious meals.
Bake: From breads and cakes to quiches and cakes, the Omnicooker can function as an oven, so you can prepare all kinds of fried delicacies.
Roast: With the Omnicooker you can roast meat and poultry until they are perfectly golden brown and juicy.
Sauter and wok: Excellent for the quick stir -fry of vegetables, meat or fish, where the high heat ensures fast cooking times and preservation of taste.
Grill: Use the omnicooker to add grill stripes and taste to meat, fish or vegetables without needing an outdoor barbecue.
Rice -boil: Prepare perfect rice without a separate rice cooker, ideal for side dishes or main dishes.
Sous-video: For the more adventurous cook, the Omnicooker can be used for sous-vide cooking, a method where food under vacuum in a water bath is cooked on a very precise, low temperature.
Make yogurt: Some models can help with fermenting milk to yogurt, which is a fun way to make homemade yogurt.
Fry: Although perhaps not the healthiest option, the Omnicooker can be used to fry, for those times that you are hungry for crispy fries or fried snacks.

How to make the Omnicooker from GreenPan clean

Cool down: Allow the omnicooker to cool completely before you start cleaning. This prevents thermal shock and possible damage to the ceramic layer.
Remove loose remains: Remove all loose food residues from the pan. You can do this by cleaning the inside of the pot with a kitchen paper or a soft cloth.
Hand wax: Although some parts may be dishwasher resistant, the best care and preservation of the ceramic layer is often recommended to wash the pan by hand. Use warm soapsop and a soft sponge or cloth. Avoid the use of abrasive cleaning agents or hard brushes, since they can damage the non-stick coating.
Rinse: Rinse all soap residues thoroughly with clean, warm water.
Dry: Completely dry the omnicooker with a clean cloth or let it dry in the air before you put it back or store it again.
Check the accessories: If your Omnicooker is supplied with removable parts or accessories (such as a steam rack or a temperature sensor), don't forget to clean them according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Usually these can be washed with warm soapy water and thoroughly rinsed.
Exterior clean: Wipe the outside of the omnicooker clean with a damp cloth and a little washing -up liquid, if necessary. Make sure you dry the outside well.
