Put the eggs together with the milk and a little cinnamon into a shallow baking dish and mix well, for example with a fork or small whisk.
In another bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon together. Do this to taste: you don't really need much sugar because the bread is already full of it.
Cut the sugar bread into slices of about 1.5 centimetres and place them one by one in the egg mixture until they're fully soaked.
Heat a generous knob of butter in the pan and fry the slices until golden brown all over.
Place on a plate, sprinkle with some cinnamon sugar, sliced almonds and blueberries, and serve immediately. Enjoy!

French toast made with Frisian sugar bread is a delicious breakfast or a treat for brunch. The sugar bread gives the French toast an extra sweet flavour, so you need very little additional sugar. The blueberries and sliced almonds complete the dish.
Serve the French toast immediately after frying so they're crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Use a roomy frying pan with enough butter for the best result. Enjoy!
