Equipment

  • oven at 175°C
  • baking tray
  • parchment paper
  • optionally a nice glass jar to store the granola

Ingredients

  • 120 g almonds
  • 30 g rolled oats
  • 40 g pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch vanilla powder
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp flax, chia and hemp seeds
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp puffed quinoa
  • 2 tbsp dried cranberries

Make your own delicious, crunchy granola

    1. Preheat the oven to 175°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

    2. Roughly grind the almonds with a mortar and pestle or a food processor. They don’t need to be completely fine; I like them in small pieces. Put all the ingredients (except the puffed quinoa and cranberries!) in a bowl and mix until you have a nice, slightly sticky mixture. Spread the mixture over the baking tray: press it down firmly.

    3. Bake for 10 minutes, then stir. Put it back in the oven for another 10 minutes and check if you like the granola. Is it a little browned and does your whole house smell amazing? Then it’s done. If it’s not browned enough yet, give it a few more minutes in the oven.

    4. When the time is up, turn the oven off and leave the granola inside with the oven door open for about half an hour. After that, put it in a jar and you can enjoy it all week!

Store the cooled granola in an airtight jar at room temperature. This keeps it pleasantly crunchy for at least a week so you can enjoy it all week long.

Serve the granola with yogurt, quark or plant-based milk and some fresh fruit for a nutritious and tasty breakfast. You can also adjust the nuts and seeds to your own taste.
