Crispy ham rolls from the grill with green asparagus tips
Keeping it simple is my motto, and that's why I love this way of preparing them. Green asparagus wrapped in good ham, that's it. Add a few seasonings and pop them on the BBQ or grill.
1. While you normally blanch green asparagus, that's not necessary for asparagus tips. Wash the asparagus gently and pat them dry. Make small bundles by wrapping a slice of ham around each and drizzle with a little olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
2. Place the bundles in the grill pan or on the BBQ. In the grill pan they'll be ready within 10 minutes, but on the BBQ you'll need about fifteen minutes. Turn them a few times while cooking. They should be nicely tender-crisp when done, and the ham will have become crispy from the grilling. Enjoy!
