Whether it's a firm aged piece or a soft brie - this box has it all under control.
Store cheese the right way
How often do you take a piece of cheese out of the fridge and notice that the edges are already dried out? Or that the smell of your strong aged cheese has mingled with everything next to it? That's a thing of the past with the Mepal Modula cheese box. The built-in sealing ring ensures an airtight closure, so odors stay inside and your cheese tastes as it should - full, strong, and just right.
- Optimal freshness - The anti-condensation tray absorbs excess moisture, so your cheese doesn't become damp and stays delicious longer.
- Odor-tight sealed - The sealing ring keeps cheese odors inside and prevents other food in the fridge from taking over the taste.
- Direct view of contents - The fully transparent lid lets you see at a glance what's still inside - handy when you want to grab a snack quickly or do your shopping.
- Over 2000 ml capacity - More than enough space for a large wedge of cheese, slices, or even several small pieces at once.
- Stackable design - Stack multiple Modula boxes on top of each other and make smart use of every inch of your fridge.
- 100% BPA-free - Safe material that does not release substances into your food, hygienic and taste-neutral.
- Dishwasher safe - Just pop it in the machine, hassle-free. Clean, quick, and effortless.
- Made in the Netherlands - Mepal has been producing quality storage materials for decades, right from its own country.
The anti-condensation tray: the secret weapon
This is where the Mepal Modula cheese box really makes a difference. Cheese needs moisture, but too much moisture is fatal. The built-in tray with moisture reservoir automatically regulates this: excess condensation is captured, so your cheese stays dry on the bottom and doesn't get soaked. No sticky crust, no limp edges. Just cheese that tastes as it should - from the first day to the last slice.
This may sound like a detail, but anyone who has ever seen a piece of good cheese spoil due to a bad storage box knows that this makes the difference between enjoying and throwing away. Smart design, concrete results.
A tidy fridge starts here
The Mepal Modula series is designed with stackability in mind. The rectangular shape with rounded corners fits perfectly with the other boxes in the Modula line, allowing you to organize your fridge like a real system. Everything in its place, everything visible, everything organized. No toppled containers, no searching for what's left.
The compact dimensions (224 x 160 x 86 mm) fit in almost any standard fridge drawer or on a shelf, and at just 400 grams, you can effortlessly lift it out of the fridge. The handy shape ensures it feels good in your hand - even if your hands are cold from cooking.
Quality you can see and feel
Mepal makes its products from high-quality SAN plastic with a PE sealing ring. These are materials that withstand cold, moisture, and the daily use of a busy kitchen. The transparent walls and lid are scratch-resistant enough to look good for years. And because everything is dishwasher safe, you'll never have to scrub in a cornered box by hand again.
Warranty? Two years. And honestly, you probably won't need it - but it's nice that Mepal stands behind it.
💡 Cookinglife Tip: Store different types of cheese in separate Modula boxes and stack them in the fridge. Write the name and date on a sticker on the side, so you always know which cheese needs to be used first. This way, you eat smarter, waste less, and there's always a perfect piece of cheese available - whether it's for a cheese platter or just for your sandwich.
