Which pans can I use on this induction hob?

For induction cooking you need pans with a magnetic base — think cast iron, stainless steel with an induction base, or enameled steel. The Hendi dubbele inductiekookplaat automatically detects whether a suitable pan is on the zone. No induction base? Then the cooking zone will not switch on. Not sure if your pan is suitable? Hold a magnet to the bottom: if it sticks, the pan works on induction.

How do I clean the induction hob?

One big advantage of induction: the surface stays cool, so burned-on food is less likely to stick. This makes the Hendi kookplaat easy to keep clean: • Always let the plate cool down before you clean it. • Wipe the glass-ceramic surface with a damp cloth or soft sponge. • Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool — these will scratch the surface. • The hob is not suitable for the dishwasher; wiping with a damp cloth is sufficient. The residual heat indicator shows when the surface is safe to touch.

Can I use this cooktop for catering or at events?

Yes, absolutely. The Hendi dubbele inductiekookplaat is specially built for intensive use — both in professional kitchens and for catering and events. What makes it suitable: • Two independent cooking zones — you control the temperature for each zone separately, ideal when preparing different dishes at the same time. • Compact and robust design — easy to transport and sturdy enough for daily professional use. • Power of 3500 W — heats up quickly, even under pressure. The cooktop runs on electricity, so you will need a power outlet on site.

Is the cooktop safe to use, even if I forget to remove a pan?

Yes, the Hendi inductiekookplaat has built-in safety features to protect you during daily use: • Automatic pan detection — the cooking zone only switches on when a suitable pan is present. No pan? No heat. • Automatic shut-off — if you remove the pan, the cooking zone will stop automatically. • Residual heat indicator — indicates when the surface is still hot, so you don't accidentally touch the glass-ceramic. The surface itself is not directly heated by induction, only the pan — this makes the cooktop cooler and safer to touch than traditional hobs.
