FAQ

Can I put the serving board in the dishwasher?

No, the dishwasher is not a good idea for this bamboo serving board. Wash it by hand: use warm water, a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Never let the board soak in water, as that will damage the bamboo. Dry it thoroughly immediately after cleaning.

How do I keep the serving board in top condition?

With a small, regular routine the board will stay looking great for a long time: • Wash it by hand in warm water with a mild detergent. • Dry it immediately after washing — never leave it lying wet. • Rub the board with vegetable oil before use. That nourishes the bamboo and keeps it protected. Bamboo naturally absorbs very little moisture, so food residue barely penetrates the material.

Is this serving board large enough for a cheese board or a tapas plate?

The board measures 21.5 cm in length and 15 cm in width. That size is ideal for a compact snack platter, a selection of tapas, or a few types of cheese. For an extensive cheese board for multiple people you may want to consider a larger size.

Why is bamboo a good choice for a serving board?

Bamboo is a smart material choice for two reasons: • Strong and durable: bamboo is a hard, sturdy material that can withstand daily use. • Moisture-resistant: bamboo absorbs very little moisture, so food residue is less likely to penetrate the material and the board is less likely to warp. With proper care the board will last for years.

Can I put hot dishes directly on the serving board?

The serving board is intended for serving cold and room-temperature dishes such as cheese, tapas and snack platters. Do not use the board as a trivet for hot pans or oven dishes, as intense heat can damage the bamboo.
