FAQ
Is the swing-top bottle dishwasher safe?
Hand washing is the best option for this bottle. The rubber seal and swing-top closure are sensitive to the heat and harsh detergents of a dishwasher — these can deform the seal so the bottle no longer closes properly. Clean the bottle with warm water and a mild dish soap.
Can I use this bottle for canning or preserving jam and vegetables?
No — this bottle is not suitable for that. Canning or preserving requires sterilizing in boiling water, and this bottle cannot withstand that. Use the bottle only for storing cold or room-temperature liquids, such as water, oil, vinegar, or syrup.
Can I use the bottle as a table carafe?
Definitely. The clear transparent glass and the stylish swing-top closure make the bottle well suited as a table carafe. The 1-litre capacity is a convenient size for the table. The bottle is suitable for cold drinks such as water, lemonade, or homemade juices.
Is the glass BPA-free and safe for daily use with drinks and food?
Yes. Glass naturally contains no BPA, plasticizers, or other chemical additives. The Bormioli Rocco Oriente bottle is made from clear, thick-walled glass that is safe for daily contact with drinks and food.
Can I carry the sealed bottle in a bag?
Yes — the swing-top closure with rubber seal makes the bottle leakproof and airtight. Make sure the clasp is properly locked before placing the bottle in a bag. The bottle is suitable for use at room temperature and in the refrigerator, but not for hot liquids.
