About Beka

FAQ

Is the glass lid included with the purchase?

Yes, the glass lid is included. You will receive the Cicla pan with a matching lid, so you can start cooking right away. The glass lid lets you keep an eye on the dish without having to lift the lid.

How do I prevent food from sticking in a pan without a non-stick coating?

A stainless-steel pan without a non-stick coating works a little differently, but the result is excellent if you follow these steps: • Preheat the pan first over medium-high heat before adding any fat. • Then add your fat — butter, oil or a combination — and wait until it’s hot. • Let the food stay undisturbed: meat or fish that is ready to be turned will naturally release from the bottom. The encapsulated three-layer base of the Cicla distributes heat evenly, which greatly reduces hot spots and burning.

Can I use metal kitchen utensils in this pan?

Yes, you can without any problems. Because the Cicla has no non-stick coating, you can use metal spatulas, spoons or tongs. The recycled 18/10 stainless steel is scratch-resistant and retains its quality even with daily use of metal utensils.

How many people does the 20 cm pan serve?

With a capacity of 2.8 liters and a diameter of 20 cm, this is a handy pan for 2 to 3 people. The height of 6.5 cm provides enough space for dishes with more liquid, such as soup, pasta or stewed vegetables.

How should I best care for and clean the pan?

The Cicla is fully dishwasher-safe, so cleaning is easy. If you prefer to wash the pan by hand, use warm water with a mild dish detergent and a soft sponge — no scouring pads or aggressive cleaners, as they can make the surface dull. Dry the pan immediately after washing to prevent water spots. BEKA provides a 25-year warranty on the Cicla.
