Equipment

  • Blender
  • Deep plate or bowl
  • Tablespoon
  • Measuring cup

Ingredients

  • 150 g frozen mango
  • 100 g frozen pineapple
  • 1 ripe banana (partly for the bowl, the rest as topping)
  • 3 tbsp Greek yogurt (10% fat)
  • 3-4 tbsp coconut milk (as little as possible for a thick base)
  • 3 tbsp granola
  • 1 tbsp coconut flakes
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Handful of fresh mango, diced

How to make a smoothie bowl with tropical fruit and crunchy toppings?

    1. Put the frozen mango, frozen pineapple and the banana into the blender. Add the Greek yogurt and the coconut milk.
    2. Blend at high speed until smooth and thick. If the blender stalls, add a splash more coconut milk, but keep it as thick as possible.
    3. Spoon the mixture into a deep plate or bowl and smooth the top with the back of a spoon.
    4. Arrange the toppings in rows over the smoothie bowl: granola, fresh banana slices, fresh mango, coconut flakes, chia seeds and a drizzle of honey.
    5. Serve immediately, because the bowl melts quickly at room temperature. Put the bowl on the table and enjoy.

Toppings are where you can get creative. Swap the granola for chopped nuts, add a scoop of peanut butter or use fresh strawberries instead of mango. Same base, a different bowl each time. That way breakfast stays interesting without much thought.

For a good smoothie bowl you need a powerful blender that can handle frozen fruit without struggling. A blender that does the job quickly and smoothly shows immediately in the texture of the result. Enjoyment starts with the right tool.
