Make hot chocolate yourself

Brrrrrrr! It's really getting cold outside now, and what I absolutely can't do without is a large mug of hot chocolate. Store-bought chocolate milk is packed with sugar. If you try this recipe for sugar-free hot chocolate, you'll likely agree with me that all that added sugar is completely unnecessary. Pure and blissful!

Make hot chocolate yourself - Recipe

    1. Heat the oat milk and immediately add the cacao powder, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
    2. Heat until hot, but take care that the hot chocolate doesn't boil.
    3. Pour into a large mug (like a coffee mug) and enjoy!
    4. TIP: Make a delicious, airy cake to go with it.

This hot chocolate is a lovely alternative to the classic cow's milk version. By using oat milk or almond milk, the recipe is completely plant-based. The cacao powder gives a deep chocolate flavor, while the cinnamon and vanilla extract add a warm, spicy note.

Be sure to stir the hot chocolate well with a whisk so the cacao powder fully dissolves. Heat the mixture over low heat and be sure not to let it boil. This preserves all the flavors and results in a silky-smooth, creamy drink.
