Ingredients

  • 5 eggs

How to make a quiche?

    1. Preheat the oven to 190°C.
    2. Whisk the eggs and the cream until smooth in a mixing bowl.
    3. Choose one of the filling variations and mix those ingredients well into the egg and cream mixture.
    4. Roll out the quiche and tart pastry on some baking paper or on a work surface dusted with flour. Grease the quiche pan, or line it with baking paper. Line the quiche pan with the pastry. Make sure the edges are well covered! Then fill the quiche pan with the filling.
    5. Sprinkle the quiche filling with grated cheese and bake the quiche in the center of the oven for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown. Every oven is different, so keep an eye on it.
    6. Use a cake server to transfer the quiche to flat dinner plates.

This basic quiche recipe is wonderfully versatile. Choose your favorite filling and adapt the quiche entirely to your taste. Perfect for a weekday meal or a festive dinner.

Serve the quiche warm or at room temperature, optionally with a fresh salad. Leftovers are also delicious the next day, either cold or reheated in the oven.
