About Hendi

FAQ

What exactly is included in the package?

You receive the Hendi koksbrander including a gas canister and 4 extra butane gas refills. So you have everything you need to get started right away — no separate purchases needed.

What type of gas does this torch use and how do I replace the gas canister?

The Hendi koksbrander runs on butane. The supplied gas canister connects directly to the torch — no additional fittings or tools required. Empty canister? Replace it with one of the 4 supplied refills. Always wait until the torch has completely cooled before replacing the canister.

How do I clean the torch after use?

Always let the torch cool completely after use. Then wipe the exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Never immerse the torch in water and do not put it in the dishwasher — this will damage the mechanism and the piezo ignition. Store the torch in a dry place, preferably without the gas canister if you won't be using it for an extended period.

In what positions and angles can I use the torch?

The Hendi koksbrander is designed to work in any angle, even upside down. That makes it particularly handy for tasks where you need to direct the flame precisely — such as gratinating, caramelizing or lighting a BBQ. The flame is adjustable: from a subtle, small flame up to a powerful flame with a maximum length of approximately 15 cm.

What warranty do I get on this torch?

The Hendi koksbrander comes with a 1 year warranty. The torch is made of metal and plastic, has a diameter of 6.8 cm and weighs 0.23 kg. Ignition is via a piezo element, so you don't need a separate lighter.
