Equipment

  • Citrus juicer
  • Large jug or bowl
  • Stirring spoon
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Colorful drinking glasses

Ingredients

  • 250 g strawberries
  • 3 lemons
  • 4 tbsp elderflower syrup (or elderflower cordial)
  • 750 ml sparkling water (cold)
  • 1 handful fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes as needed

How to make a festive Easter drink with lemonade and fresh fruit?

    1. Rinse the strawberries and slice them. Pick the mint leaves from the sprigs.
    2. Squeeze the lemons and pour the juice into a jug or large bowl.
    3. Add the elderflower syrup to the lemon juice and stir well.
    4. Put the strawberry slices and mint leaves into the jug with the lemonade mixture.
    5. Top up the jug with sparkling water and stir gently so the bubbles remain.
    6. Add a generous amount of ice cubes to the jug.
    7. Pour the Easter drink into pretty, colored glasses and garnish each glass with an extra strawberry on the rim and a sprig of mint.
    8. Serve immediately and enjoy together.

Colorful glasses make this Easter drink even more festive. Arrange glasses in different colors on the table and let everyone pour their own. That way serving becomes a fun moment in itself. Want the drink a bit sweeter? Then add an extra splash of syrup to taste.

Tip: you can make the lemonade mix a day in advance without the sparkling water. Keep the mix covered in the fridge and add the sparkling water just before serving. This preserves the bubbles and keeps the flavor fresh. An easy prep for a relaxed Easter brunch.
