The largest sets have seven pieces, the smallest two. Just like in our store, we first look at what a set should do for you, and only then at the sale price. What we say below about material and lifespan comes from practical experience in our store and from our showroom, where we put new pans on the fire ourselves.

How do you know if a sale is really beneficial?

A sale is truly beneficial if it is the set you would choose even without a sale price. Such a set consists of pans that you will use, in a material that fits how you cook.

The difference between the two varies greatly per set, and the set with the largest difference is not automatically the best deal for you. Therefore, compare the sale price with your budget and what you will be cooking with the set.

Our store advice for a large set on sale: only consider the pans you will actually use. A pan you don’t cook in is not a benefit even at a sale price. If you are not yet sure whether you need a complete set, make that decision first, independent of the sale prices. If you are only looking for one additional pan, check the individual pans on sale.

Is a set on sale a B-choice or an old model?

Every set in this sale is also in our collection of all cookware sets. In both collections, it leads to the same product page, with the same description. They are new sets in the original packaging, not B-choice or returned or showroom items. A sale price arises because we have purchased a batch very sharply or have agreed on a promotion with the supplier.

If a set is sold out, set a stock alert on the product page via 'email me when in stock': you will be notified as soon as it is available again. That notification only concerns the stock; what price is shown then, you will see at that moment. If you choose a set that is available now, we will ship it from our own stock, usually on the same day you order.

Pans that are being discontinued and will not return are listed separately in the cookware outlet. A set from this sale that you also find there is one of the last pieces of a discontinued model.

Which cookware sets on sale work on induction?

Whether a set works on induction is indicated in the overview above for each set: 'Induction: Yes' or 'Induction: No'. In this sale, most sets say 'Yes'. If you are looking for an affordable set for induction, pay close attention to the base, as a thick base stays flat longer, while a thin one tends to warp. If you also want to compare induction sets that currently have no sale price, you can do that with the cookware sets for induction.

If you are getting an induction plate in your kitchen, sometimes the best deal is the set you already have: test your current pans on induction first, and only then choose what you are missing. If your induction plate has built-in ventilation (a downdraft), there are also sets for you in this sale. You can see the entire offer for that in the cookware sets for a downdraft cooktop. You can use any set with 'Induction: Yes' just as well on gas.

Which sale fits your budget?

A complete stainless steel set does not have to cost a top amount in the sale: below is a summary of what you can expect for different budgets.

If you choose stainless steel or cast iron and take good care of the set, you pay the sale price once for many years. If you choose a non-stick coating, even a ceramic one, you buy a few years of convenience at the sale price, until the coating is 'gone'. If you end up with stainless steel, the stainless steel cookware sets also include sets without a sale price.

Cast iron and sheet steel under €100 are affordable but require some extra work after cooking. So read before you order what cast iron maintenance requires. Sheet steel and untreated cast iron should never go in the dishwasher.

Do you bake a lot? Then start with a frying pan set

If you mainly bake and cook little in large pans, you will benefit more from a frying pan set than from a complete set. Frying pan sets of two or three pans make up a large part of this sale, usually as a duo of ø 24 cm and ø 28 cm. From the store, we know that two pans are often more convenient than one large one. If one frying pan is enough for you, choose that among the frying pans on sale.

Is your brand among them?

Beka, Sola, WMF, and our own brand Cookinglife account for the lion's share of this sale. If you are waiting for a set from Sola or WMF, also check the Sola cookware sets or the WMF cookware sets, where all sets of that brand are listed. Which of them have a sale price can vary. There is at most one set from BK in this sale; you can see the entire BK offer, including sets without a sale price, in the BK cookware sets.
