Percolator

Percolator

With a percolator, you can brew your coffee in a traditional and classic way. This method of brewing coffee is quite simple. You just need to fill the percolator with the right amount of water and coffee and then place it on the stove. After a few minutes, you'll have delicious coffee with a lovely aroma that fills the kitchen. In our range, you'll find various types of espresso makers, including percolators from top brands like Bialetti, Alessi and Westmark. There is a suitable coffee maker for every heat source, whether you want to brew coffee on induction or gas.

Bialetti Percolator

If you're looking for a coffee maker of absolute top quality, we recommend choosing a Bialetti percolator. Bialetti is an Italian top brand with a wide range of coffee makers suitable for every heat source, including those specifically for induction. You can choose from different sizes. There is a Bialetti coffee maker for 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10, and 12 cups of coffee. With this percolator, you can make the perfect Italian espresso, which you will, of course, serve in matching espresso cups. Are you looking for a specific collection? We offer popular lines, such as the Bialetti percolator Venus or the Moka Express.

Percolator Induction

If you don't have a gas stove but use induction, you can opt for the induction percolator. This coffee maker is specially made for induction. Even when you choose an espresso maker for induction, you have a wide selection of different types and sizes. The advantage of an induction percolator is that it is very energy-efficient. No energy is wasted because only the bottom of the coffee maker is heated. With this percolator, you can make the most delicious espresso or cappuccino. The perfect layer of foam for the cappuccino can be made with one of our milk frothers. You can then pour it into beautiful matching cappuccino cups and finish it off with a thin layer of cocoa.

Espresso Maker

You can make delicious cups of espresso with an espresso maker. By adding ground coffee to the machine, you can brew coffee in a traditional way. Perhaps not as modern as an electric coffee maker, but definitely an authentic experience. The nice thing about an espresso maker is that its small size makes it easy to take anywhere. You can make a tasty espresso on the camping stove, as long as the coffee percolator is suitable for gas, of course. Do you want a glass that keeps your espresso warm longer? Then double-walled glasses are ideal for you!

Stainless Steel Percolator

Stainless steel is a particularly popular material for kitchenware and machines. The stainless steel percolator is also a very sought-after product. These devices look particularly stylish and fit perfectly on any countertop. Stainless steel is also very practical. You can easily clean your stainless steel percolator with some water. The steel is resistant to corrosion, giving it a long lifespan. This way, you can brew the tastiest cups of coffee for years!

What is a Percolator?

You have probably heard of a percolator, but what is it exactly? A percolator is a kitchen appliance that allows you to brew coffee using ground coffee and water. How it works is explained below. Percolators have been around since the 18th century, but their popularity declined in the 1970s when electric coffee makers emerged that made brewing coffee much easier. However, the percolator has made a comeback in recent years. This is not without reason, as brewing coffee with a percolator offers an authentic experience. Additionally, the coffee is very tasty.

TIP: Use a coffee grinder from Cookinglife to grind fresh beans.

How Does a Percolator Work?

The percolator brews strong, refined coffee with a deep flavor through steam pressure. A percolator is not specifically designed to brew espresso, which many people often think.

How to Use a Percolator

  • Fill the water reservoir. When you unscrew the bottom, you will first encounter the filter. Remove this before adding water. Ensure that the water level in the percolator never exceeds the valve.
  • Fill the filter with ground coffee. Make sure the filter is well filled and smooth out the coffee.
  • Place the filter back in the water reservoir and carefully screw the percolator back together.
  • Place the percolator on the heat source. A percolator is suitable for almost any type of heat source, except for induction. Do not set the heat too high and keep an eye on the percolator.
  • Keep an eye on the percolator. You will notice that coffee will eventually seep into the upper part of the percolator. When this stops, the water is gone. You will notice this by the coffee bubbles that come out.
  • Remove the percolator from the heat source. The coffee is now ready to be poured!

Enjoy your cup of fresh coffee!

TIP: The percolator cannot go in the dishwasher; rinse it immediately after use and clean it easily that way!

This classic coffee maker brews coffee by circulating boiling water under pressure through ground coffee, resulting in a rich and full flavor. Whether you choose an aluminum model for quick heating or a stainless steel variant for durability, percolators offer a unique coffee experience that harkens back to the origins of coffee brewing.

Maintenance for Long-Term Use

To keep your percolator in optimal condition, regular maintenance is essential. After each use, clean all parts with warm water and a mild dish soap. Refer to the manual of your specific model for detailed maintenance instructions.
