With a ceramic set, you determine which pans in your kitchen get a coating. In the store, we mainly associate such a coating with the pan for eggs and fish: that saves the most work.

Which pans in a ceramic set have the coating?

Frying pans, wok pans, and the sauté pan all have the coating in these sets. In the sets with stainless steel cooking pots, those cooking pots do not have a coating, and only the frying pans are ceramic.

A frying pan set consists of two or three frying pans with the coating, from ø 20 to 28 cm. From the overview, the Beka Frying Pan Set Pro Induction 2-Piece ø 24 & 28 cm is such a set.

With a frying pan and wok pan, you get one or two frying pans and a wok pan of ø 28 or 30 cm, all with the coating. This is how the Sola Cookware Set Ceramic Deluxe is structured.

In a set with a frying pan and sauté pan, both pans are ø 28 cm and have the coating, and the sauté pan has a lid. You see that composition in the Sola Cookware Set Stonehenge 2-Piece with frying pan and sauté pan. None of these three types of sets contain cooking pots.

Sets with stainless steel cooking pots and ceramic frying pans have two frying pans with the coating, of ø 24 and 28 cm. Additionally, there are three or four cooking pots and a saucepan made of stainless steel, without a coating. An example is the Sola Cookware Set Pearl 6-Piece Stainless Steel.

A frying pan set complements a kitchen where the cooking pots are already present, for example, if you are only replacing your old frying pans with Teflon. Each set here has a PFAS-free coating, and those who prefer to cook without a coating also have the option of stainless steel and cast iron in the PFAS-free cookware sets.

If you often make a whole meal in one pan, then the second pan in your set is preferably a wok pan or a sauté pan. In the wok pan of the Ceramic Deluxe, you stir-fry vegetables and meat together. Under the lid of a sauté pan, a one-pot dish or sauce continues to cook after frying.

Do your cooking pots also need a ceramic coating?

You cook pasta, potatoes, and soup in water, and rarely does anything stick in that, even in a cooking pot without a coating. A cooking pot often also contains a potato masher or an immersion blender, and a coating does not hold up well against that.

Thus, the Pearl 6 and the Sola Cookware Set Ruby 7-Piece Premium Triply Stainless Steel divide the work: stainless steel for cooking, a ceramic coating for frying. The largest cooking pot of the Pearl 6 is ø 20 cm. Those cooking for a family will find in the Ruby 7 also one of ø 24 cm, with 5.5 liters. That falls within the 4 to 6 liters that we maintain in the store for a regular cooking pot.

In a set with only frying pans, you choose the cooking pots separately, one by one from the loose cooking pots or together from the stainless steel cookware sets. For cooking, we only have loose pans with a ceramic coating in the Ceramic Deluxe line, such as the Sola Saucepan with Lid Ceramic Deluxe of ø 18 cm. It holds 1.5 liters, enough for a sauce or a portion of rice. The roasting pans in that line also have the coating.
