A Berlinger Haus set is easiest compared by what it contains: how many pots, what sizes, and what color.

What pots are included in a Berlinger Haus set?

Here’s what the contents of the sets look like.

Three of the sets are Matte Anthracite. The Berlinger Haus Frying Pan Set Matte Anthracite 3-Piece consists of three frying pans with diameters of 20, 24, and 28 cm, without a cooking pot and without lids.

In the Berlinger Haus Cookware Set Click-it Matte Anthracite 6-Piece there are four pots: cooking pots with diameters of 16 and 20 cm and frying pans with diameters of 20 and 24 cm. The pots come with two glass lids with a strainer and two detachable handles.

The Berlinger Haus Cookware Set Matte Anthracite 7-Piece has five pots. In addition to cooking pots with diameters of 20, 24, and 28 cm, there is a frying pan with a diameter of 20 cm and a deep frying pan with a diameter of 24 cm. Additionally, there are three glass lids for draining and two silicone trivets.

You get six pots in the Berlinger Haus Cookware Set Matte Cream 11-Piece. These include cooking pots with diameters of 20, 24, and 28 cm, frying pans with diameters of 24 and 28 cm, and a saucepan with a diameter of 16 cm. There are also four glass lids for draining, three pieces of cooking utensils, and two silicone trivets.

The Berlinger Haus Cookware Set Taupe 11-Piece also has six pots, with cooking pots and a saucepan in the same sizes as the Cream 11-Piece. Among the frying pans, the one with a diameter of 24 cm here is deep, alongside a regular one with a diameter of 28 cm. The lids, cooking utensils, and trivets are the same.

The "15 pieces" in the specifications of the 11-piece sets are the eleven parts plus the four lids. In the 7-piece set, the three lids similarly make it "10 pieces".

The cooking pot with a diameter of 28 cm in the Matte Anthracite 7-Piece and the Taupe 11-Piece has a capacity of 6.1 liters, enough for soup for a family. The Cream 11-Piece has a cooking pot with the same diameter. From 7 to 11 pieces, you get a frying pan with a diameter of 28 cm instead of 20 cm, plus a saucepan and three pieces of cooking utensils. We have an 11-piece set available in cream and taupe, but not in anthracite.

With the Click-it, you detach the handle to stack the pots, and without the handle and lid, they are oven-safe up to 220 °C. With cooking pots up to 20 cm in diameter, the Click-it is especially suitable for those who usually eat alone or with two. If you only want to replace your frying pans, the 3-piece set is sufficient.

What can you expect from the non-stick coating in these sets?

The lifespan of a standard non-stick coating is, in our experience, a few years if you treat the pots well. Since that coating is also in the cooking pots, it applies to the entire set.

"Hand wash recommended" is noted in parentheses behind "dishwasher safe" for the Matte Anthracite 7-Piece, and the frying pan set page gives the same advice. We give that advice for every set with such a coating: dishwasher tablets are detrimental to a non-stick coating.

The coating is not PFAS-free: it is PFOA-free but made of PTFE, and that substance falls under PFAS. Cooking without PFAS can be done with one of the PFAS-free cookware sets.

In what color is there a matching electric kettle or toaster?

In matte anthracite, the entire range of Berlinger Haus also includes an electric kettle, a toaster, a kitchen scale, and wok pans. In cream, there is a knife set with a cutting board in the same color; in taupe, the cookware set stands alone. An overcooked edge is more visible on a light exterior, such as cream or taupe, than on anthracite.

Now that many kitchens are open, pots are in sight; in our store, people are increasingly selecting them by color. For a gift, the color of the kitchen appliances that the recipient already has is a better guide than your own taste.
